Fish

There are over 34,000 species of Fish that can be found in fresh waters and salt waters all over the world.  They range in size and a variety of different colors. Fish are aquatic animals that do not have arms and legs but have fins that help them swim through the water.  Most fish are cold-blooded and have a vertebra, or spinal column.  Most fish breath through gills on the sides of their head instead of having lungs like land animals.  There are more than 800 species of fish in North America.  Fish are an important food source all over the world.
