Glaciers

A Glacier is a thick mass of ice that forms over hundreds or even thousands of years from the accumulation, compacting, and recrystallization of snow.  Glaciers get so thick and heavy that they begin to slide across the ground leaving huge deposits as the glaciers melt and retreat.  Glaciers can make massive changes to the earth's surface as it travels across the land.
