Mountain Ranges

There are several different mountain ranges all across North America.   Mountains are

formed when the movement of tectonic plates deep under the ground cause the surface

of the earth to push up and rise to higher elevation.  Some mountains were formed when two continents collided into each other.   Mountains are very old, forming millions of years ago.
