Water

Water covers approximately 71 percent of the Earth's surface.   The oceans hold about 95 percent of all the earth's water.  Other bodies of water include Lakes, Ponds, Rivers, and Streams.  Deep under the Earth's surface there are water tables that provide fresh drinking water for human to live of this planet.  Water can either be saltwater like in the oceans, or freshwater that can be found in the inland lakes and rivers.  The study of water is called Hydrology.
